this movie has gotten a pretty bad rap, it supposedly got terrible reviews from critics when it was first released and it didn't perform well at the box office but i don't see what is so horrible about it, i thought it was a nice, easily watchable film that didn't follow the usual cliché storyline that most teen romance films follow.Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts are rather sweet together, although i have to say the Emma Roberts character is slightly annoying and a bit of a hussy, obviously she's picked this up from her mother but besides that the two leads are great together and have a genuine awkwardness between them that is really funny and nice to watch.I have always combined the two [acting and school] and it has been fantastic for me to carry on making films without letting my studies slip. Very normal and I think having a normal situation to go back to when Iâm not filming is useful.Itâs great going back to friends who have nothing to do with the film world. Was there any pressure in becoming famous at such a young age? I continued living in London instead of moving to Los Angeles, for example. My family has been very supportive and I always went back to my usual group of friends and my usual school. It would be fantastic to continue playing interesting characters. That is the main thing â having variety and challenges.I like to have fun as much as the next person but I tend to do it in private and just hang out with close friends.
Having a rough time fitting in, Duncan finds an unexpected friend in Owen, manager of the Water Wizz water park.I am not the sort of person who has gone through a disillusioned stage, thinking that the world is coming to an end. We hit it off right away and it was very relaxed, without any awkward moments. It makes it easier to get on with someone when you have intimate moments together â we had to be in love when we were in character, of course, so that was a good start. We went to a flea market in New York and wandered around and picked it out. I will do it if it fits into the Cambridge schedule and if it is something I really want to do. College is incredibly important and I wouldnât want to mess it up.It sounds like you are getting what you want in your own life, doing a degree and making movies. When I got the chance to go to Cambridge, it was something I wanted to do. Is life normal when you are back at home in England?I think people would get a little bored if they saw me churning out the same things again and again.I would love to have the opportunity to work with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter again.
